Randall L. Sherrod received his J.D. from Texas Tech University and was admitted to practice law in Texas in 1973. He is also admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Sherrod is a member of the Amarillo Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, the College of the State Bar of Texas, and the Panhandle Family Law Association.
Sherrod previously served as Criminal District Attorney in Randall County from 1975 to 1995 and as Assistant Criminal District Attorney in Randall County from 1974 to 1975. He also was a Fellow of the Texas Bar Association.
